HELP! I am trying to do something as a Christmas Present for my wife.
Please note, this is NOT her only gift, it is a supplement.

My wife and I have a stalled 3.5 campaign. Why is it stalled? Because we have a character that got rebuilt and is not complete.

It's a druid. With some custom wildshape house rules. And I can't motivate myself to work up the full stats I need to get the character working.

The challenge:
A) Help me figure out a sane way to get this character done. I have his humanoid form. I know what forms I need. I have my house rules. I will get this information up here soon. I'm willing to do the work but I'm really rusty on 3.5.
OR
B) Someone takes the info I have and just does the work for me.

I'd jump for joy at seeing a computer program that does it.

If you can help, let me know.

Creatures of other types simply add the class Hit Die to their existing Hit Dice, even if they have only one racial Hit Die. (The text dealing with monsters as races in the Dungeon Master's Guide doesn't make this clear, but the text in the Monster Manual does; see page 290). If the creature has levels from other classes, the Hit Die from the new class is added to the creature's total Hit Dice.

So, with the 3.5 ruling, a Pixie Sorcerer 1 would be a minimum 6th level character (1 HD Pixie, 1 HD Sorcerer, +4 level adjustment). But what about a Jermlaine? They only have ½ HD. (They are from Monster Manual II). Under their advancement options, they can be 1-2 HD, although the base one is not. If one were to keep the ½ HD, they would only be a ½ level character. If they add one class level ON TOP of that, then they are 1.5 level. Does that round up? Can you not be a Jermlaine with no class level? Do you start with 1 HD Jermlaine? Is the Jermlaine an exception to that Rules of the Game ruling (they drop the ½ HD)?

Hi everyone,

I'm building an Evangelist and I'm having trouble figuring out what the Save DC for Convert the Faithful should be. It says in the description for Great Orator that "Indeed, Evangelist levels stack with bard levels to determine the strength of known Bard songs." Based on how this is worded, would the save DC for Convert the Faithful be 10+Evangelist level+Bard level+Charisma modifier, or would Bard Level not be factored in. It feels possibly broken if you can add the Bard levels, (considering the DC is in the mid to high 20s with a Bard 5/Evangelist 5 build by level 10). However, this ability seems pretty useless at higher levels if it DOESN'T add Bard levels, (A Will DC in the low 20s once you hit level 15 or so seems like an auto pass for any respectable challenge). So how should this be interpreted?

I'm considering creating a basic book for a language that has no RPGs yet, but I don't have the time to translate a whole SRD without testing the waters out yet. I've thought about doing a short book that covered the player rules for, say, human and one other race, fighter and thief, and the rules needed to handle that for the first few levels. The GM would need to have the books in English, but it's a first step.

Has anyone produced or published a PHB in a much compressed form, 32-64 pages? How much was selective choice of material and how much was compression of existing material? Did they try and follow an existing rules set or feel free to deviate broadly? (I'm only really interested in things that are clearly D&D-esque; i.e. fantasy class and level based things. If I want GURPS Lite or Fudge, I know where to find them.)

Now, one player tried to use the Close Wounds spell (an immediate spell from the spell compendium) to reduce the damage, thus lowering the DC.

I ruled that this wasn't possible since taking the damage and making the Fort save happen at the same time. I.e. you cannot use an immediate action to reduce the damage before the save is rolled. Do you agree?

Before the psyche of the deceased has completely left the body, this power halts its journey while repairing somewhat the damage to the body.

This power functions like the raise dead spell, except that the affected creature receives no level loss, no Constitution loss, and no loss of powers.
The creature has -1 hit points (but is stable) after being restored to life.

The funny thing is, that the augment doesn't mention you need to pay additional power points to augment it. Does this mean, there is no limit to the number of rounds it can be delayed (assuming manifester and recipient are willing to pay the xp cost)?

It doesn't help that the example given in the XPH seems to be wrong:
It states it would cost 500 XP to restore someone to life who has been dead for five rounds. Shouldn't that be 4 rounds because of the base cost of 200 XP? Also, it seems the recipient only has to pay XP if the power has to be augmented.

Things were further complicated since the power was used from a power stone by a non-psionic character. I assumed the 200xp for the base cost had already been provided by the creator of the power stone. Is that correct? If so, would it even be possible to create a power stone with an augmented version of psionic revivify? Who would pay the xp normally payed by the recipient (and when?)?
Note, that we use a house rule that use magic device can be used with psionic items and vice versa.

On page 105, Complete Psionic contains an update that replaces the section on using power stones. It mentions that powers manifested from power stones can be augmented after succeeding on two Psicraft checks (Psicraft is also house-ruled to be identical to Spellcraft).

Would this also be possible for someone using the Use Psionic Device skill?
How many successful skill checks would this require?

This is really a very odd power and I'm apparently a bit rusty regarding the Use Magic Device skill. So far it's only ever been used to activate wands and scrolls...

Any insights would be appreciated!

I read somewhere that you can enchant your armor/shield spikes with defending, and basically get two additional sources of AC that stack with everything else (even another defending enchant on your main weapon). My DM doubts that as being possible, but I'm sure I saw it somewhere. Regardless of source, is this possible? I would use spells to buff my spikes' enchantment bonus, which then would translate into more AC.
Any opinions are welcome.
